Having a Devil of a time at Otakon 2007

Approaching the con I saw this young lady hurrying on her way to the Costume registration or somesuch, she was late, and all the photographers were making her later. I grabbed a few pics while everyone else had her held up anyway.

The first Group of Harry Potter cosplayers I saw at the con.

As I was wandering around after Registration I found this group of cosplayers for a fighting game.

A pair of snipers, nice ghillie suit by the one on the right, I'll have to look at the hi-rez later and see what kind of rifles they were supposed to be. Took this while waiting in line to get into the Dealer's Room.

Ok so the Boss Monster of the Dealers room line wasn't stairs, long but fast moving lines, or even finding the end of the line... The last real obstacle was lines of tape on the floor, called Cattle Lines. The stills I have of this event don't do justice to hundreds of Otaku moving through these lines as fast as they can, some making. dance moves, and others holding their arms out wide like airplanes. There were line monitors there to make sure you stayed in the lines, the entire purpose of which was to keep people in a single file line, and not overwhelm the badge checkers at the bottom of the stairs.

Apparently there are only so many hundred feet of velvet rope at the convention center.

Down in the Dealer's Room this was the first et or really nice Angel Wings I saw. They are held together with a thin set of wires.

Totoro?

Maids? The one on the right is more goth Loli than the rest who are sort of French Maid stereotype...
